  • Evangelist to preach to 20,000 in Hangzhou – Update

Over the 2 day period March 20/21, 14,000 people came to hear Evangelist Luis Palau and the Rev. James Meeks preach in Hangzhou Chong Yi Church. The aim had been 20,000, but the rain didn’t evaporate on the way down and dampened the spirits.

  • Evangelist to preach to 20,000 in Hangzhou

World famous Christian Evangelist Luis Palau is coming to Hangzhou to preach to 20,000, weather permitting. The Church, Chong Yi is only supposed to able to seat 5,400 (strange it isnt 8,888; I guess that represents pagan beliefs), but with that much love and goodwill in the air, rain will just sizzle and evaporate on the way down.

  • Linkin Park playing Shanghai – August 15th

Linkin Park promised to come back after their October concert was cancelled, and they seem to be men of their word; on the way back they are. Not long to go. The last gigs were sold out, so better hurry if you want tickets.
    Some ideas for tickets:

  • Manchester United 8-2 in Hangzhou

The pundits had their money on “They’ll show-off 3 pretty goals, and let 1 or 2 in. They’re here to make money and you don’t do that by embarrassing your customers” Well, well, even the pros get it wrong too. Manchester United scored 8 goals, showing this was no face giving mission in the hope [...]

  • Fat food, Black tie

It was the 4th Hyatt Regency Summer Ball and still the poshest date of the year in Hangzhou. Perhaps nobody else can pull it off? Our group gathered in Bellevue Bar all togged up for the first, and probably last time this year. Martinis, Maitais flowing. Bellevue makes a good drink. And a cigar for [...]
