Originally from Louisville, "it's not Kentucky," I moved to Hangzhou almost 4 years ago--ironically, on the 4th of July. I had originally intended to only stay for 6 months, but 3 months in, tore up my return ticket and decided to stay indefinitely. Life here has certainly had its ups and downs for me, but thanks to some amazingly fantastic people here the upswings--though sometimes only tiny ones--have outnumbered the bad. I am a bit of a Jane of all trades, and have found over the years that Hangzhou is a great place to exercise that. This is an amazing city to see change and grow and to get involved in the many things going on here. It is truly my second home.
