Any restaurant in Hangzhou that wants to entice laowai into the hallowed halls need to tout a great burger. What is it about a burger that we crave so insanely? The GM at Oakleaf obviously knows his food, because most of the food at Oakleaf is great. He must also know his business because a burger that looks anything like the one on his left is going to bring in the punters. Look at the layers, bacon on the bottom under a fat and juicy patty, topped with grilled cheese over the home-made guacamole. On the side is a home-made spicy tomato ketchup and crispy cross-cut potato fries.

70-80Y after service, and combined with a beer it isnt the cheapest dinner in town, but the restaurant is comfortable and warm, service is attentive without over-doing it, and it is the Oakwood. And one of the best burgers in Hangzhou. Probably worth it once in a while.

After dinner, wander over the passage to the bar. Leather chairs, flat screen satellite TV, and beers much cheaper than they should be.
